Shortly after the resident requested to inspect their leasing file, Kathy Scheiwe, Community Manager at Channel Point Apartments (managed by Greystar), attempted to file a false Workplace Violence Restraining Order against the resident instead of complying with the lawful inspection request. During the conversation, when the resident asked to review the file, Ms. Scheiwe appeared visibly alarmed and stated, “You can’t—it’s proprietary.” The court ultimately denied the restraining order, confirming its lack of merit; however, because the filing remains a public court record, it now appears in search results such as Google.com, creating a misleading impression for potential employers—an outcome consistent with Ms. Scheiwe’s apparent intent to damage the resident’s reputation.

Dear Ms. Scheiwe, Property Manager,

This letter serves as a formal follow-up to my prior request to inspect and obtain a copy of my tenant file, made both in writing and in person. On March 6, 2025 while I was physically present at the leasing office, you personally denied my request to review my tenant file, stating on video that the file was “You can’t it’s proprietary.” I have retained a recording of this interaction.
